First Joint IKINET -EURODITE Conference

Warsaw, May 24th and 25th, 2006

(Final Programme)

 

 

Objectives

             

To provide a platform for the exchange of results, experiences and opinions between partners in different 6th FP projects as well as between scholars and practitioners. The Conference refers to several issues on the European regional development agenda such as:

          the problem of transition of the less developed regions toward the knowledge economy,

           innovation of SMEs and their participation in innovation networks,

           the design and implementation of regional development strategies for the knowledge economy,

           new macro-level regional economic indicators.

Poster Sessions and meetings with media (press, radio, TV) will be organized during the Conference.

 

 

Participants

 

          Partners in IKINET (EU FP6, N° CIT2-CT-2004-506242) and EURODITE (EU FP6, No CIT3-2005-006187) projects plus a few people from RAISE project.

          Representatives of DG Research.

          Representatives of DG Regional Policy.

          Representatives of Polish central and regional (Silesian) governments (Ministry of Education and Sciences, Polish Academy of Sciences,  Marshal’s Office of the Silesian Voivodship, Upper Silesian  Agency for Regional Development, etc.)

          Practitioners and experts invited by Partners in IKINET/EURODITE projects.

Altogether we expect 50 - 60 participants.
